The Colombo High Court (HC)has ordered that the case against former Defence Secretary Hemasiri Fernando and former IGP Pujith Jayasundara, related to the 2019 Easter Sunday attacks, be taken up again on 23 March.

The case, filed by the Attorney General, concerns allegations of criminal negligence and failure to act despite receiving prior intelligence.

Both officials appeared before the court today during the initial hearing, and the case will resume in March for further proceedings.
