Sarvajana Balaya leader and MP Dilith Jayaweera has claimed his party is best positioned to defeat the current Government, stating that a new political movement is needed to challenge the ruling party.

Speaking at an event in Colombo today(20), where appointment letters were presented to organisers in Mirigama, Dompe and Negombo, he stated that the public was correcting past political decisions.

Jayaweera also alleged that his movement was facing political pressure, including measures targeting him personally.
