The Supreme Court dismissed, without hearing, a petition filed by SLMC leader Rauf Hakeem and General Secretary Nizam Kariapper.

The petition sought an order directing the Election Commission to recognise them as members of the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress.

The court ordered the dismissal after considering the submission.
