The Disaster Management Centre (DMC) reports one death due to ongoing adverse weather conditions.

The victim, a 64-year-old from Divulapitiya in Gampaha District, was swept away by strong currents yesterday.

A total of 7,757 individuals from 1,966 families have been affected, with 201 people moved to six safety centres.

Severe weather has impacted 20 Divisional Secretariat Divisions across four districts.

Authorities also reported 123 partially damaged houses and two fully destroyed homes.
