In his Easter message, President Anura Kumara Dissanayake emphasised the importance of unity, hope, and compassion as Christians in Sri Lanka and around the world celebrate Easter Sunday.

Highlighting the significance of the resurrection of Christ, he noted that the occasion symbolizes renewal, resilience, and the triumph of light over darkness.

The President also pointed to ongoing global conflicts, expressing hope that the spirit of Easter would guide people toward peace and coexistence.

He urged Sri Lankans to embrace values such as love, patience, and forgiveness, and to move forward in unity, setting aside divisions to build a stronger sense of brotherhood and goodwill.
