Minister of Justice Harshana Nanayakkara visited the Negombo District General Hospital to inquire into the condition of prison officers injured in the recent Negombo Prison clash.

According to the Ministry, 23 injured prison officers are receiving treatment at the Negombo District General Hospital and the Colombo National Hospital.

Meanwhile, 54 inmates injured in the prison violence are also undergoing treatment.
