Pivithuru Hela Urumaya Deputy Leader Madhumadhawa Aravinda has resigned from all positions held in the party.
Meanwhile, in a video that has surfaced on social media Aravinda is seen engaging in hate speech against the Muslims.
Following the incriminating video, the SLPP today condemned Aravinda's speech and said it did not reflect SLPP's political stance.
Pivithuru Hela Urumaya has pledged its support to the SLPP in the forthcoming presidential elections.
