The Registrar of the Welimada District Court has been further remanded until January 27 over an alleged bribery incident.

The order was issued by Colombo Additional Magistrate Liyan Warusavithana after the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) informed court that investigations are ongoing.

The suspect was arrested over an allegation of soliciting and accepting Rs. 500,000 to hand over possession in a land case heard at the Welimada District Court.
