Several documents have been leaked with the signature of a new President at the helm of Sri Lanka Rugby (SLR).
Since the resignation of former President Rizly Illyas, the position of presidency has been left vacant with the Deputy President taking up the responsibility along with the rest of the Executive Committee.
In recent weeks, the rugby fraternity has been divided with regard to several decisions taken by the Deputy President, especially letting Kandy SC off the hook by lifting their ban on playing the Clifford Cup Tournament.
Controversy has mounted with several documents being leaked containing the signature of the Deputy President but signed as the ‘President of Sri Lanka Rugby’.
Isn’t that a clear violation of the Constitution? What is going on at SLR?
