The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a proposal presented by the Minister of Education Dr. Susil Premajayantha for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Sri Lankan and foreign universities to elevate the country’s higher education and promote international partnerships.

The MoU is set to be signed between the University of Peradeniya (UoP) and the University of Illinois in the United States. 

The agreement has been formulated in accordance with the observations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), the Department of National Planning, and the Department of Foreign Resources.
