The Inland Revenue Department (IRD) has collected over Rs. 1 trillion in tax revenue as of 18 May, 2026.

The IRD stated that the revenue collection supports the country’s financial stability and the continuation of public services.

The department noted that the milestone marks a significant contribution to national revenue performance.
