The Court of Appeal has postponed further consideration of intervening petitions filed in connection with a petition by former State Intelligence Service (SIS) Director Major General (Retd.) Suresh Sallay.
The petitions seek permission to make submissions regarding Sallay’s challenge to his arrest and detention under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA).
Counsel for the National Patriotic Movement and Patriotic People’s Movement presented submissions before the court today (04).
Further consideration of the intervening petitions has been postponed until 6 August.
