The exposition of the sacred Devnimori relics of Lord Buddha, which were brought from India, is ongoing for the fifth consecutive day today (9) at the Gangaramaya Temple in Hunupitiya, Colombo.
The relics were first displayed on 5 February, 2026, and their exhibition has attracted a large number of devotees eager to witness and venerate these sacred objects.
The Devnimori relics, discovered during excavations in the 1960s at the historic site of Devnimori in Gujarat, India, have never been taken outside of India before this exhibition.
Devotees continue to visit the temple in large numbers, and the opportunity to pay homage will remain open 24 hours a day until 7:00 a.m. on 11 February, 2026, allowing for uninterrupted veneration of the sacred relics.
