The Court of Appeal today (7) ordered that the contempt of court petition filed by former Minister Manusha Nanayakkara against YouTuber Sudaththa Thilaksiri be taken up again on 2 December.

The case was heard before Justices Rohantha Abeysuriya and Priyantha Fernando, where counsels for both parties informed the court they may explore an amicable settlement.

Nanayakkara filed the petition alleging that Thilaksiri’s comments on his YouTube channel amounted to contempt of court, and sought appropriate legal action.
