A landslide has reportedly reactivated in the Udakalagama area of Gallella Grama Niladhari Division in Ratnapura, authorities said.

The Ratnapura District Disaster Management Coordinating Unit said 12 families have been evacuated as a precaution.

The area was previously identified as a high-risk landslide zone by the National Building Research Organisation (NBRO).

Evacuations were carried out after signs of reactivation were observed on 22nd morning amid ongoing bad weather.
