Concerns and proposals on Advance Personal Income Tax (APIT) were raised during a meeting between Deputy Finance Minister Dr Anil Jayantha Fernando and banking and financial sector representatives.

The discussions were held at the Ministry of Finance and also covered Sri Lanka’s economic progress and the distribution of economic benefits.

The need to finalise collective agreements for state banks covering 2027–2029 was also discussed.
