The All-China Women’s Federation (ACWF) has donated materials worth approximately Rs. 43 million to support women and child development in Sri Lanka.

The consignment, formally handed over yesterday(25) at the Parliament of Sri Lanka, includes equipment for establishing a mother-and-baby room and a childcare centre for parliamentary staff. 

It also includes women’s hygiene products for distribution via the Women Parliamentarians’ Caucus. 

Speaker Jagath Wickramaratne and Minister Saroja Savithri Paulraj accepted the aid, with the Speaker noting the donation reflects the deep and longstanding China–Sri Lanka friendship.
