Construction of the Kadawatha–Mirigama section of the Central Expressway is now 42% complete, with the project on track for completion in 2028.
The new expressway will enhance connectivity between Colombo and Kurunegala, reducing travel time and alleviating traffic congestion.
Work resumed after delays caused by Sri Lanka’s economic crisis, supported by a new loan agreement with China.
