Cricket Canada confirmed that head coach Pubudu Dassanayake will continue in his role for the duration of the T20 World Cup, following a meeting of the Canadian board.

The decision came after an earlier informal dismissal was not ratified.

Initially told of his impending dismissal by Assistant Manager and Cricket Canada Vice President Gurdeep Klair, Dassanayake's continuation was confirmed after the board meeting the same evening.
