The Colombo High Court has fixed 9 February 2027 to hear revision applications filed by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC), seeking to overturn the bail granted to three suspects, including Rakitha Rajapakshe and Charith Abeysinghe.

The suspects were arrested over an alleged bribery incident involving the wife of drug trafficking suspect Nadun Chinthaka Wickramaratne, also known as “Harak Kata”.

The court has directed the respondents to file objections by 14 November, while CIABOC must submit any counter-objections by 28 January.

The suspects were granted bail by the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court on 28 July 2026.
