The National People’s Power (NPP) has secured the Chilaw Urban Council in the Puttalam District.

NPP received 4,820 votes, winning 9 seats.

An independent group garnered 2,949 votes, securing 6 seats.

Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) obtained 1,825 votes, claiming 4 seats.

Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) received 281 votes, securing 1 seat.
