The intensification of southwest monsoon wind flow across the island has prompted the Department of Meteorology to issue a warning.
According to the Met. Dept. strong winds reaching speeds of 50-60 Kmph are expected in several areas.
Affected regions include the western slopes of the Central Highlands, as well as the North, North Central, Western, South, and North Western provinces, along with the Trincomalee district.
This warning, issued at 10:30 am today (24), will remain valid until 10:30 am tomorrow (25).
Residents are advised to take necessary precautions to ensure their safety.
