The Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) reports that tourist arrivals have surpassed 1.8 million as of October 15, 2025.

A total of 75,657 visitors arrived in the first half of October, bringing the year’s total to 1,801,151.

India remains the top source market, followed by the UK, Russia, Germany, and China.

Sri Lanka recorded over two million arrivals in 2024, with the highest on record in 2018 at 2.33 million.
