The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) announced it has reached 1,700 MW of installed rooftop solar capacity nationwide as of 1 May, 2025. 

The milestone highlights the growing shift toward renewable energy by households, businesses, and institutions. 

CEB thanked all contributors to the greener energy transition.
