The Sri Lanka Army has launched a search operation in Chandirigama, Kandapola for a family reported missing after a landslide caused by heavy rainfall on 27 November 27.

The missing family includes a mother, two children, and their grandmother.

Troops from the 3rd Battalion, Sinha Regiment began the operation on December 1, and searches are ongoing, authorities said.
