The deadline for filing petitions in support of or against the 22nd Constitutional Amendment Bill ends today (31).

Nearly 30 petitions have reportedly been filed so far, both supporting and opposing the Bill.

The Bill was presented to Parliament on 18 August by Minister of Justice Harshana Nanayakkara.
