Two suspects have been arrested for allegedly aiding and abetting the fatal shooting reported in Dangedara, Galle on 12 May, police stated. The arrests were carried out on 23 May by officers attached to the Walana Anti-Vice Unit.

Police stated 12 grams and 260 milligrams of heroin were also found in the possession of one of the suspects at the time of the arrest. The suspects are residents of Girandurukotte and Mahawewa.

Police stated further investigations are continuing. Meanwhile, the Galle Divisional Crimes Investigation Unit also arrested another suspect in connection with the same murder case.

The suspect, a resident of Habaraduwa, was taken into custody as investigations into the shooting continue.
