Sri Lanka Police have dismissed as false claims circulating on social media that an LTTE training camp and bomb manufacturing facility were operating in Pallai.

Investigations found no evidence of bomb manufacturing, explosives, illegal substances or terrorist training at the location, police stated.

A 46-year-old man accused of spreading the claims was arrested on 18 August and remanded until 2 September.
