The Sri Lanka Army Baseball Club emerged victorious in the National Baseball Super League tournament, defeating the Sri Lanka Navy Baseball Club by a thrilling 4-3 score in the final match held at the Japan-Sri Lanka Friendship International Baseball Grounds in Diyagama.
The highly anticipated championship tournament, organised by the Sri Lanka Baseball Association (SLBSA) saw the final match witness a nail-biting display of athleticism and strategic play, with the Army ultimately securing the coveted title.
The closing ceremony was graced by the presence of Cuban Ambassador to Sri Lanka and Maldives Andres Gonzalez Garrido as the Chief Guest. SLBSA Vice President Manoj Fernando and Secretary General Mark Fonseka along with other distinguished officials from the association were also present to celebrate the champions and acknowledge all participating teams.
In the contest for third place, the Ranabima Baseball Club emerged triumphant over the Royal Blues Baseball Club.
