Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarassuriya presented a new javelin to Paralympics record holder Warrant Officer Samitha Dulan Kodithuwakku at the Ministry of Education recently.

Warrant Officer Kodithuwakku of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) achieved a remarkable feat by winning a silver medal in the Men's F44 Javelin Throw event setting a new world record of 67.03 metres at the Paris Paralympics 2024.

The Director of Sports of Sri Lanka Army Subhashini Niranjala Weerasinghe and Samitha Dulan's coach Pradeep Nishantha, were present at the occasion.
