Police data indicates a sharp rise in drug-related arrests last year, with more than 228,000 individuals apprehended in 2024, a 41% increase compared to 2023.

Arrests linked to Crystal Methamphetamine, locally known as ‘ICE’, recorded the steepest surge, climbing by 161%. Of the total arrests, 68,132 were specifically connected to the drug.

Authorities also reported major seizures in 2024, including 832.3 kg of heroin, 8,359 kg of cannabis, and 1,364 kg of ICE.
