The Kotmale - Gampola B431 main road has been temporarily closed from this morning (14) due to heavy rainfall and renewed landslide concerns in the Paragammana area, according to police.

Sri Lanka Police noted that cracks had reappeared along the road section previously affected by a landslide.

Authorities stated that the closure was imposed as a precautionary measure to ensure public safety.

Motorists have been advised to use alternative routes until further notice.
