Shiranthi's Siriliya Defender listed as court production

Colombo Chief Magistrate Ranga Dissanayake has directed the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) to list a Defender vehicle belonging to former First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa's Siriliya Saviya organization as court production in the case on the murder of former Sri Lanka rugby player, Wasim Thajudeen.

The Defender with the number plate WPKA 0642 was gifted by the Red Cross Society to the Siriliya Saviya Foundation.

However, the CID has stated that the Defender was allegedly used in Thajudeen's murder.

Therefore, the Defender is to be listed as court production in the case no. B/849/13/12.
