Prime Minister (PM) Harini Amarasuriya announced that all secondary schools in Sri Lanka will have internet access by the end of 2026. 

She also stated that 1,900 smart boards will be distributed to 1,500 schools and that a National Education Management System is being developed with Air Force support under the 'Clean Sri Lanka' initiative.

A Rs. 5,000 unlimited data package has also been introduced for schools.
