Fourteen Sri Lankan cricketers have secured spots in the upcoming seventh edition of the Abu Dhabi T10 League.
Initially, six Sri Lankan players, including Matheesha Pathirana (Bangla Tigers), Charith Asalanka (Chennai Braves), Bhanuka Rajapakse (Chennai Braves), Maheesh Theekshana (Morrisville Samp Army), Wanindu Hasaranga (Northern Warriors), and Angelo Mathews (Northern Warriors) were either pre-drafted or retained by their respective franchises.
Furthermore, the player draft held on 9 October saw eight more Sri Lankans being selected to take part in the tournament. New York Strikers added four Sri Lankan talents to their roster, namely Kusal Perera, Lahiru Kumara, Chamika Karunaratne, and Lasith Croospulle. Additionally, Kusal Mendis (Bangla Tigers), Dunith Wellalage (Delhi Bulls), Dilshan Madushanka (Team Abu Dhabi), and Nuwan Thushara (Deccan Gladiators) were among the other Sri Lankans chosen during the player draft.
The seventh edition of the Abu Dhabi T10 League is scheduled to take place from 28 November to 9 December, featuring eight franchise teams: Bangla Tigers, Deccan Gladiators, New York Strikers, Morrisville Samp Army, Northern Warriors, Team Abu Dhabi, Delhi Bulls, and The Chennai Braves.
