The Department of Meteorology says showers will continue today in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and North Western provinces, and the Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts.

Rainfall exceeding 50mm is expected in parts of the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, and the Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts. Strong winds of 40–50 km/h are also forecast in several areas, with the public advised to take precautions.
