Thirteen Sinhala and Tamil medium schools in the Nuwara Eliya and Hatton Education Zones have been closed today (21) due to adverse weather conditions.

Four schools in the Nuwara Eliya Education Zone and nine in the Hatton Education Zone have been given a holiday.

The decision was taken by the respective school principals, following authority delegated by the Zonal Education Directors. Other schools in the two zones are operating as usual.
