The newly established Proceeds of Crime Investigation Division has begun accepting public complaints from today (21), police announced. 

A special counter has been set up at Police Headquarters to receive complaints.

The division was officially launched yesterday under the Sri Lanka Police, following the Proceeds of Crime Act, which was passed in Parliament on 8 April and certified by the Speaker on 30 April. 

With regulations now in place, the Act is fully operational to investigate and recover illegally acquired assets.
