The Petrol Shed Owners Association confirmed they are receiving an uninterrupted supply of fuel and expect no shortage of fuel in the coming week, given that the Petroleum Private Tanker Owners Association has communicated to them of an uninterrupted supply as their demands will soon be addressed by the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC).

Speaking to The Daily Morning, the President of the Petrol Shed Owners Association, Kumar Rajapaksha said that according to sources, they have received reliable data that the CPC will be addressing the demands of the Petroleum Private Tanker Owners Association in the coming weeks. "We have fuel and we are receiving the supplies and we can confirm there will be  no shortage of fuel this week," he confirmed.

However, the Private Tanker Owners Association had warned earlier that the fuel distribution to filling stations across the country could come to a standstill if the authorities fail to revise fuel transportation charges in line with the latest fuel price increase.

Attempts to contact the Managing Director of the CPC, Dr Mayura Neththikumarage proved futile.
