Sri Lanka’s first gem-related website, www.gemcityratnapura.com, was launched in Ratnapura during the Gem and Jewellery Exhibition 2025 by Prime Minister (PM) Harini Amarasuriya. 

The platform aims to promote global trade, industry networking, and information sharing. 

The Government targets $1 billion in export revenue, strengthening ties with gem associations in the USA, China, Thailand, India, and Switzerland.
