The Committee on Public Finance (CoPF) has considered a proposed supplementary estimate of monies to settle unpaid bills owed to the China EXIM bank, with regards to the Kandy North Pathadumbara Integrated Water Supply Project and for the completion of resolution on Sri Lanka and The United Arab Emirates, meant for the promotion and reciprocal protection of investments.
This was discussed at the meeting of the Committee on Public Finance Chaired by Dr. Harsha de Silva on 2 September.
The supplementary estimate had been provided by the Ministry of Urban Development, Construction and Housing, following which the completion of the remaining work of the project was also taken into discussion.
The resolution on the agreement between the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates on the promotion and reciprocal protection of investments was also approved by the committee following discussions.
