Visiting Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh held a meeting with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake in Colombo this morning (9), reaffirming the close ties between India and Sri Lanka.
Singh stated that he conveyed greetings from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and congratulated President Dissanayake on the completion of two years of his government.
He stated that India and Sri Lanka would continue to work together for the development of both countries and the welfare of their people.
The two sides also reaffirmed their commitment to jointly safeguarding regional safety and security and promoting peace and prosperity.
