Venerable Bandarawela Amithananda Thero passed away this afternoon (29) while undergoing treatment for an illness at the Colombo National Hospital.

The Thero was widely respected for his contributions to youth religious education and was the founder of the ‘Yowun Sithata Daham Sisila’ Centre in Delgoda.
