Ruwan Bakmedeniya stole the limelight by emerging as the Overall Nett Winner with a score of 61 Nett.
Competing in Division C (Handicap 19-28), he also secured the division’s Nett title and went on to claim the Gross award with a score of 89, completing an outstanding double. Ivor Mahroof was the runner up in the nett segment.
In Division A (Handicap 0-9), Riahn Pieris claimed the Nett title with 70 on a back-nine countback, narrowly edging out Noordeen Sethwala who returned the same score.
Kumar Danushan captured the Gross title in the top division with an excellent 70 Gross.
The Division B (Handicap 10-18) competition saw Nirmal Dharmaratne secure the Nett title with 70 on a back-nine countback ahead of Janaka Tebuwana.
Meanwhile, Nisantha Perera topped the Gross category with a solid round of 80.
Among the senior golfers, Kan Butani won the Seniors Nett title with 64 while Harendra De Silva finished runner-up with 67 and went on to secure the Seniors Gross title with a fine 78.
In the Masters Division, Lanka Santha won the Nett event with 64, while Anura Somaratne finished runner-up and also claimed the Gross title.
The Junior Division saw Hirusha Pramuditha win the Nett event with 67, while David Karunaratne finished runner-up and secured the Gross title with 79.
In the Ladies divisions, Anusha Senadhira and Ravini Perera won the Silver and Bronze Nett titles respectively, while N. Amarasuriya emerged the Ladies Seniors Nett winner, rounding off another successful Monthly Medal at the Royal Colombo Golf Club.
Longest Drive was won by Kushal Johnpillai while Janaka Tenuwana won the Nearest to the PIN.
