President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has announced the "Clean Sri Lanka" initiative, a nationwide program to enhance cleanliness and environmental responsibility. 

The program focuses on preserving natural beauty, cleaning public spaces, and protecting coastal areas. Dissanayake stressed fostering a culture of sustainability and highlighted Sri Lanka's tourism potential, aiming for a record number of visitors by 2025. 

Accordingly, this initiative seeks to boost tourism while improving citizens' quality of life by promoting environmental awareness.
