Parliament will convene for a special sitting tomorrow (30) following a request by the Prime Minister (PM) and in accordance with Standing Order 16.

The session is intended for the Minister of Finance to present the Government’s revenue strategy, as mandated under Section 11 of the State Finance Management Act, No. 44 of 2024.

The fiscal strategy statement must be tabled annually before 30 June, following Cabinet approval.

An adjournment debate on the statement will be held until 4:30 p.m., according to the Committee on Parliamentary Business.
