The Department of Meteorology stated that showers or thundershowers may occur in Northern and Uva provinces and in the Trincomalee district after 2.00 p.m. today (05).

A few showers are also likely in Western, Sabaragamuwa, and Central provinces.

The public is advised to take precautions against strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
