Minister of Mass Media Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa has stated that new legislation is needed to regulate promotions and advertisements on social media.

He made the remarks in Parliament today(22).

The Minister noted that existing laws do not comprehensively cover social media across all sectors, despite limited regulation of certain product promotions.
