The Department of Meteorology has issued a warm weather advisory for the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, North-Central and North-Western provinces, as well as the Monaragala, Mannar and Vavuniya districts.

According to the advisory, valid for tomorrow (14), the Heat Index is expected to rise to the ‘Caution Level’ in several areas across 15 districts.

Prolonged exposure to heat or strenuous activity outdoors could result in heat exhaustion, the department warned.
