It has been said time and time again that the threat of the pandemic is not yet eliminated, and it is still very important for us to remain safe and cautious during this time. We in Sri Lanka are very fortunate to have so many amazing health workers and safety measures being taken along with an 88% recovery rate for Covid-19, but that should not be taken advantage of. Of course, most of you must have been enjoying your school vacation. I sure know that I am just waiting for my exams to be done so I can sleep in (mostly)!
With that being said, as our little island lifted the two-month-long lockdown and curfew, you can now see your friends and family if you have not (with the exception of social distancing and wearing a mask). Thankfully, we are also allowed to travel again to some parts of our country and again, it will only be done with safety measures in place. Even though life has not resumed as it once was, we all must work together to get through this new normal.
Here are a few things you can do with your friends and family in the Covid era whilst still being safe!
- A meal with friends
- Take a small trip
- Have a few friends over
- Have a barbecue
